On Feirm Ground 2 – Wellbeing for Farming Community
On Feirm Ground 2 is the next phase of our nationally recognized program, designed to support the health and wellbeing of the farming community. This initiative is proudly endorsed by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the Department of Health, and the HSE.
Program Aim
This training equips agricultural professionals and service providers with the skills to effectively engage with farmers on health and wellbeing topics. Whether you interact on the farm, in the office, or over the phone, you will learn to confidently support farmers and signpost them to relevant services when needed.
The In-Person Experience
The program features a 6-hour in-person session. This is a collaborative workshop which we encourage professinals to share their experiences, aiming to create an optimal peer-learning environment. We aim to discuss real-world scenarios, challenges, and solutions. This approach ensures the learning is practical, relevant, and rooted in the community it serves.
Preparing for the Session: Recommended E-Learning
To enhance your in-person experience, we provide an introductory e-learning module. This component offers valuable background on the social determinants of health and the development of the On Feirm Ground program.
We highly recommend completing this module before your session, as it enriches the group discussions and practical activities. Participants will receive a link to the e-learning one week prior to the in-person program.
Unable to complete the e-learning? Don’t worry—we will begin the session with a recap to ensure everyone is prepared to participate fully
We are looking forward to seeing you there!
